Presenting.... Lacey

We took the plunge. After numerous requests from Jessie, we finally got a dog. She is a 2 year old, playful and lively black lab. Her name was Fab but we changed it to Lacey. We brought her home on Monday and she adjusting well. She loves chew toys and playing fetch. After a little crying she settled down for her first night in the crate.

Our cat Tinker is hiding in the basement but frisky Bo-Bo comes out every so often to investigate. Any fast moment and Lacey chases in pursuit. Needless to say it will take some time for Lacey to settle in with the cats (and vice verse).

Hailey who is usually tentative around dogs seems very happy with her new friend. After our first meeting with Lacey on Sunday, I think Hailey understood that she was coming home with us. And so far, Lacey has been wonderful around the girls. Jess, of course, is keeping her busy.

Mornings are going to be crazy from getting ready for work, making breakfasts and lunches, dropping off Hailey at daycare, coming back to wait for the bus with Jess and now adding Lacey to the mix. Oh well, such is life!
